Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, launches Audio Tour in Ukrainian Language

From today, the Ukrainian version of the audio tour is available. This provides Ukrainian visitors with the opportunity to discover the life and work of Vincent van Gogh in their native language. The launch of the audio tour was introduced by a special video message from the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska

In 2020, Olena Zelenska launched an initiative to introduce Ukrainian audio tours in cultural institutions around the world, for the benefit of Ukrainian visitors and to promote Ukrainian language and culture.

Currently, the translation project includes 80 audio tours in leading museums and cultural institutions around the world. These include Versailles, Westminster Abbey, Charlottenburg Palace, the Rijksmuseum, and the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul.
Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine: "The introduction of this audio tour not only makes the beautiful work of Vincent van Gogh more accessible to Ukrainian visitors, but also serves as powerful evidence that art transcends borders. That art brings light and hope, even in the most challenging times."
Ukrainian is the latest addition to the extensive range of languages offered by the museum. The tour was narrated by Ukrainian actors Pavlo Skorokhodko and Irma Vitovska. The audio tour was already available in Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), and Brazilian Portuguese.
