EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, returns for its fifth edition September 22 – 25, 2016. Attracting more than 35,000 visitors in 2015, EXPO CHICAGO continues to showcase the city as an international cultural destination, while bringing the world's top art galleries, critically acclaimed programming and international, national and regional curators and collectors to Chicago.

EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, returns for its fifth edition September 22 – 25, 2016. Attracting more than 35,000 visitors in 2015, EXPO CHICAGO continues to showcase the city as an international cultural destination, while bringing the world's top art galleries, critically acclaimed programming and international, national and regional curators and collectors to Chicago.

“As we approach our fifth edition, I am proud of the increased support of our Presenting Sponsor Northern Trust and for the extraordinary commitment of our 2016 Selection Committee,” said EXPO CHICAGO President | Director Tony Karman. “Each year we continue to refine and develop new programming to support our exhibiting galleries while expanding on global partnerships to attract international curators and collectors from around the world.”

EXPO CHICAGO presents 140 leading international galleries in both the main exposition as well as the EXPOSURE section, showcasing younger galleries. Comprised of a diverse group of leading gallerists, the main exposition galleries will be chosen by the 2016 Selection Committee, which to date includes Marianne Boesky | Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York; Rebecca Camacho | Anthony Meier Fine Arts, San Francisco; John Corbett | Corbett vs. Dempsey, Chicago; Chris D’Amelio | David Zwirner, New York, London; Rhona Hoffman | Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Chicago; David Nolan | David Nolan Gallery, New York; Jessica Silverman | Jessica Silverman Gallery, San Francisco; and Susanne Vielmetter | Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects, Los Angeles. The Selection Committee for the EXPOSURE galleries includes Candice Madey | On Stellar Rays, New York and Kate Werble | Kate Werble Gallery, New York.

In addition, EXPO CHICAGO will present the return of key programs including /Dialogues, the panel and lecture series presented in partnership with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; IN/SITU and IN/SITU Outside, a program of curated site-specific installations in Navy Pier’s Festival Hall as well as throughout the city of Chicago; EXPO VIDEO, a curated selection of dynamic and cutting-edge film, video and new media works; Special Exhibitions featuring select regional, national and international museums, institutions, organizations and non-profits; a dynamic selection of VIP events; the second annual Curatorial Forum, including a Symposium presented in collaboration with Independent Curators International (ICI), allowing for an exploration of pertinent issues in curatorial practice today; as well as Vernissage, the opening night preview attended by more than 7,000 people in 2015, benefiting the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
