Marguerite, an Asian elephant, sometimes nicknamed Parkie, has just temporarily left Museum National d'Histoire to settle among the sculptures of the Musée d'Orsay.

It is a little ahead of the event "The #originsoftheworld. The invention of nature in the 19th century" which will open on 10 November 2020. Its spectacular presence in the nave evokes the close relationship between nature, sciences and the arts, which is the common thread of the upcoming exhibition, and will also address the issue of borders and relations between the animal world and the human world.
