Thinking Italian is Christie's annual sale offering the best in 20th- and 21st-century Italian art. A stunning Concetto spaziale, La fine di Dio by Fontana leads Thinking Italian, with the likes of Manzoni, Alberto Burri and Gino Severini.

This October, Christie’s celebrates Frieze Week in London with four auctions of exceptional work from across the 20th and 21st centuries.  Thinking Italian is Christie's annual sale offering the best in 20th- and 21st-century Italian art. A stunning Concetto spaziale, La fine di Dio by Fontana leads Thinking Italian, with the likes of Manzoni, Alberto Burri and Gino Severini also featuring. 

 Gino Severini’s ‘Danse de l’Ours’ takes its name from the Grizzly Bear Dance, an American import that sparked a frenzy in Parisian nightclubs.

When Severini moved to Paris in the first decade of the 20th century, he was dazzled by the energy of the buzzing metropolis. His art, likewise, captured the heady 'joie de vivre' that he experienced in the French capital.
