Talk to the Sculptures of the Gardens of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles offers, thanks to a partnership with Ask Mona and OpenAI, a unique experience for its visitors: twenty iconic fountains and statues from the Gardens become narrators of their own stories. For the first time at Versailles, these masterpieces of heritage speak and engage in conversations with the public.

The Palace of Versailles is offering visitors a new way of exploring its gardens. By opening the mobile app or scanning a QR code placed near a work of art, visitors can access an interface enabling them to engage in a spoken conversation with the sculptures. This free mediation tool enables a real-time discussion, assisted by artificial intelligence, between a work of art and its audience.

In this way, the sculptures become protagonists, ready to engage in dialogue and share their stories with the public. Each exchange reveals anecdotes, historical accounts and often little-known details, enriching our exploration of the gardens and our understanding of Versailles' heritage.

This new tool adapts to its audience, allowing visitors to move along at their own pace, choosing the sculptures that intrigue them from among those on offer and asking unlimited questions. Whether young or old, connoisseur or stroller, everyone can engage in a discussion via their telephone, according to their interests and preferences.

From the Water Parterre to the Neptune Basin, passing through the Apollo Basin and the groves around the Royal Alley, visitors are invited to follow a suggested route or let their curiosity guide them. The experience offers a lively and personalized visit to discover the Gardens.

Who is behind this fountain or statue? Let yourself be surprised by singular voices and mythological tales, and create your own itinerary through the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. It's up to you!
