€12,2M recorded for the Sales of African and Oceanic Arts in Paris

The sales of the Hilde & Dieter Scharf Collection and Pacific Art together achieved a total of €12,199,880 across 56 lots sold.

Comprising fifty remarkable works, the Scharf Collection reached €6,825,460, exceeding its high estimate, with 98% of lots sold and more than half of them fetching prices above their high estimates, a vibrant tribute to the collectors’ discerning eye. Among the standout lots, the magnificent Kongo-Yombé Figure was acquired for €1,129,000.

The Pacific Art sale brought in €5,374,420 across 17 lots. The art of Easter Island soared to new heights, setting two new world records. A Moai Kavakava Figure was sold for €2,460,000, while a rare and ancient Uli Figure fetched €1,129,000.
