Danny Baez Joins Kickstarter as Head of Arts

Danny will work closely with artists, collectives, arts organizations, museums, and cultural institutions to bring their creative ideas to life.

Danny Baez has joined Kickstarter as new Head of Arts. Danny will oversee Kickstarter’s visual and performing arts categories, working closely with artists, collectives, arts organizations, museums, and cultural institutions globally to help them bring their ambitious and creative ideas to life.

A firm believer in the power of building community, Danny has organized various exhibitions in New York since 2010—and has apprenticed for the likes of Rirkrit Tiravanija and Gavin Brown.

Prior to Kickstarter, Danny founded REGULARNORMAL in 2020, an art space that strives to disrupt the status quo of galleries, museums, and institutions and be a haven for artists and the communities they represent. He is also a co-founder and the director of the MECA International Art Fair in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, as well as a co-founder and board member of the ARTNOIR collective.

“I’m thrilled to join this fantastic company," Danny says. "I can’t wait to get things started and be a conduit for artists, creatives, and makers alike by providing guidance and ongoing support to their practice and projects with Kickstarter.”
