This gallery does not differ from others with a classic system of exhibitions and fairs of contemporary art, but it is also a space for reflection and research with its Visionarios program. This program allows to return to the speech of the artists of the 80’s whose works did not fit with the official discourse in Colombia like Alicia Barney, pioneer of the ecological art in Colombia.
The Instituto de Visión is a reference space in the city where art lovers can meet. Always in search of new artistic proposals, the team of the Instituto de Visión welcomes emerging artists whose language transcends and is inserted in the current problems of Colombian or global society. The purpose of the place is to give visibility to national and international artists excluded from the institutional and conventional view.
Until August 26, we can enjoy the exhibition of Otto Berchem in collaboration with Amaia Pica, titled "Mobilize". They explore modern artistic and social movements in Latin America, as well as a reflection on the new social and visual codes. The centerpiece, joining the exhibition, is an installation composed of 102 sheets of colored paper falling like a waterfall. Behind each "capture" made by Otto and Amalia is interpreted the hidden language of objects or signs.
